took me about 3 minutes to clay my drivers door with the bilt hamber clay lol..... apply that theory to the whole car and its maybe 30 mins (which is still longer than my attention span lasts, so RobNA can do it instead lol)
engine mount fitting and other mechanical mincing available :)

That is my problem.....

£5 down Tesco gets a fantastic result (providing you stick to the same washer and tip everytime!!)

Ok I will have to do some swirl removal soon though...

I visited Gareth from detailed obsessions and he was very very helpful, he certainly knew his stuff. He advised me on what products to buy and how to use them. He went out of his way to help me and certainly gave up alot of his time. I bought around £100 worth of kit off him - just got to work out how to use it now :tumble:

Defiantly recommend it - http://www.detailedo...ssion/Home.html

Cheers
Steve

Theres absolutly no way I'd use 'fairy liquid' on any car

Twice a year I clay and machine polish it back with Megs #80 / #9 / #3 / #7 / #21 / Victoria Concourse (x3 coats)

Then washed every other week or so in Megs Gold Class @40' and waxed with NXT (it contains mild cleaning agents) and about once a month topped up with EGP.

As Simba said, claying and machining only needs to be done once or twice a year.
The clay - whilst taking off the tar spots, does inflict swirls on the paint - so best not to do it too often.

Once you add up the cost of the machine, the pads, the polishes, the wax, applicators, towels, wash mitts, clay, various dressings and wheel cleaner - it comes to a lot of money!

Depends if you think it's worth it :P

'Gray' clay will be quite abrasive and should only be used once a year at the most but the Sonus 'Green' clay was formulated to be used by 'obsessive' detailers who wish to clay monthly, or on already well prep'd cars

Theres no need to PC a car more than twice a year - you'll cut too much off the paint if you do more than this

The claying and cutting are only half the detailing process just as importaint are the products to add depth (#7) and to seal (#21) and then the wax dependant on paint colour.
