I certainly don't want it to be like Fab's graph suggests.

what is wrong with the graph ?? the car run good

.....the graph suggest you have very little torque below 5k. Infact, considerbaly less than the standard car! At 4k your car has around 100bhp, and the standard car has 120bhp!! Must feel very sluggish in comparison to a standard car below 5k?!

For a road car, I would personally not be happy with that power delivery as its better suited to the track. Good headline figures though.

Fab's graph wasn't done by the dyno, it was plotted onto the graph, so were the other results

This is an old dyno graph when my engine had a similar bhp to Fab's (Phase 2)

I also added the result from Phase 1

That looks more reasonable, but I would be happy to start with a slightly tweaked phase 1 according to that graph.

Phase 1 was after fitting throttle bodies, it drove like a car straight out of the showroom, super smooth

I don't have the Phase 2+ dyno graph so cannot compare them

Change the injector position and fit a 4/2/1 and it will make the torque curve much better in that revs zone.

Also not sure Fab has the longer trumpets Vocky has ?

Not trying to belittle the result at all, although I know I can be a bit sceptical after my experience over the years.

Had my vx220 for 5 years, and spent a lot on tuning particulary after seeing Vocky 215bhp @ 6800rpm and what seemed a mythical 195 ftlbs torque and got no where near this. This was back in 2007 before the throttle bodies fitted, so it would seem the figures were highly inflated at the time - as a few of us thougt at the time.

The latest power and torque results with the throttle bodies do look realistic and the kind of result you'd expect. Its just bit too easy to believe what your read and pay the money to follow, but genuine results are good to see.

I know what you mean, having been given one set of figures for the 2.4 and then another showing a 30bhp drop after fitting throttle bodies was a shock to say the least, the itb's did not cause any power loss that I could notice, they did however give a massive mid range improvement and removed the flat spots I had with the standard ecu.

Northampton Motorsport rolling road is 100% spot on and I was pleased to go from the original phase 1 - 185bhp up to phase 2 - 218.8bhp on the same rollers. Main difference was higher compression and stage 3 cams.

Vocky,

Where do you think ITBs, Stage 2 cams, and a full exhaust on a standard EM would get you? With a long runner EM? Cheers.
