Anyone out there receive any written instructions from VX relating to the removal and refitting of the VX hardtop (the "official" part)? Just want be certain that I don't break anything in the process! Cheers Ian

There should be a laminated sheet you get with the hardtop. Failing that, I think there might be something in the handbook? It's pretty straightforward, so even without a guide it is very do-able. There's really more tricks involved in fitting it to try and prevent it squeaking or rattling. If you still need some assistance then i'm sure someone (probably me, if i'm about :)) will post a step-by-step guide. Ben

Thanks for that - no we didn't get a laminated sheet.... :( , but if there's no real stumbling blocks we'll give it a go. If we get stuck we'll post back !

I've scanned it in for you at full size but compressed to 165Kb. You can just grab it and print it out – resolution should be enough I hope. May have to be quick before some moderator resizes it! See elsewhere for my frank opinion on this GM "pearl" Here's the front:

Think it is really light (~10 kg) so it can be done alone. And those cover bits I personally do not use. I expect they improve the safety, but in my car they cause squeeking as well.

I've only ever fitted and removed mine by myself. Lay out your cover first so you can lower it onto a softish surface.
