Hmmm, definitly the same colour code 4LU.it's printed on a label inside the drivers door opening.I own a lightning & I've supplied a yellow turbo, they looked the same but I haven't see them next to each yet.So can only assume paint fade? Splam,I forgot to check,is your car a turbo? If it isn't & it's not a lightning, then it's not brilliant yellow, but one of the other two shades of yellow depending on model year. Steve

it's a 2002 N/A, i thought i was right in thinking (but probably not) they were all brilliant yellow (turbo included) apart from the lightning.

Gets complicated but here goes 2002 Model year VX220 2.2,the finish was called 2 coat brilliant yellow paint but the colour was just called yellow. If you open your drivers door, you should see a white label with your chassis No. on(to the left, just below the rod that the door shuts on to). Also on this label is the colour code(If your car is the colour that I think it is,you'll see) 4HU(2002 yellow) & then 4 more letters, the trim code ie XXLS black leather or maybe XXIW black cloth. Steve See I'm wasted just selling them, think how exciting I must be... :sleepy:

Jase,it might be worth giving an independant bodyshop both codes, too much information is better than too little.I can't even remember now where the P code came from  Sam,your car is not the same, your car is more in your face 'acidic' brighter/lighter

I bought one of Thorneys Hardtops for my turbo and the paint code was 4LU.When the 3rd hardtop arrived (previous 2 h/tops damaged by TNT) delivered and fitted by Thorney the h/top looked a different shade of yellow. After a couple of phone calls to Thorney he said that it would be better to get some paintshop local to me to match the paint to my car and he will share the cost of the respray.Btw its my car that Thorney used in the Shop to show a picture of a yellow h/top.As the picture shows it does depend on your viewing angle to what yellow your car is!!!
