...will a pic of tv screen with time+car enough? (can it be done?)OK - so here we are. Roll up, roll up for the GT4 challenge.
Post your fastest times around the Ring in either a VX or VXT (or Speedster). Car must be unmodified and evidence will be required should you achieve one of the fastest times.
No prizes as yet - just the admiration of your fellow VX owners.![]()
Good luck all.

We need to agree on a couple of other things too.Post your fastest times around the Ring in either a VX or VXT (or Speedster). Car must be unmodified
Driving aids should be switched off (as we don't have any anyway
The tyres need to be specified – I've run mine on standard road tyres as that's what I've got on my Speedster. If those with tyre/wheel upgrades want to drive the virtual equivalent of their car, then that needs to be stated too to prevent trying to compare apples with pears!
Right, off to play now – but I've just had a glass of red wine, so may have some difficulty finishing off the last of the special licence lessons

Yes, a digital camera or camera phone will be fine for this....will a pic of tv screen with time+car enough? (can it be done?)
Of course, we're an honest bunch, so we could take each other's word for it!

Mt 1st run I upped the BHP and lowered the weight.
I suggest its all standard spec and medium tyres - Did a 8m51.43s in that spec a min ago.

Only if you like driving exotic cars quickly! Is it worth buying a PS2 just for this game?
But Logitech Driving Force Pro with 900° rotation is the cream on the cake.
I've completed the special licence now. Last test is a time of under 7min 58secs on the 'Ring in a Mercs 190 Evo 2. After that I went back to the 'Ring in the standard Speedster – it felt sooo slooooooow, but familiar and gorgeous balance as ever.
My excuse is the red wine I had, but I was more off the track than on it when I set a 9min 9secs on standard road tyres
I don't ever want to be a passenger at the 'Ring, let alone drive it. If I ever am tempted to go for real, someone remind me of this posting – you'll almost certainly save my car and probably my life!
Mods, can someone resize that jumbo pic above?
Edit for typo

Was off the track a couple of times, so there is room for plenty of improvement, especially when I've not had some wine

We definitely need separate categories for N/A and VXT!8m34s
Speedster Turbo on medium tyres, otherwise std
Ricky will have to mod his appropriately (lightening is in there too
Talking of which, doing some of the GT4 licences showed me again how lucky we are to have such a responsive and nimble car. In one exercise you use an Alfa Romeo cabrio (new one, not the classic Duetto, though you use that in one test too). That Alfa is bl**dy appalling – what a barge – loads of weight and ZERO grip – it must almost be more fun walking than trying to drive that in a spirited fashion!
