Went up to Bedford GT yesterday to spectate and play with my new camera to see if I could get any decent pics.

I've decided 2 things - I need a better lens already :( and taking pictures into the sun is a pain in the arse.

Here's some that I managed to get and I've had a quick play with them in Paint Shop Pro.

VX-er's - sorry I didn't get any decent shots which were worth anything. Maybe next time.

I only stayed until about 11:30 - haven't heard anything from Q&D/Rasputin who were there. Maybe they'll be able to fill us in.

What I did notice while I was there was M3 CSLs can't go around hair pins. Most times they tried they just ended up in tyre smoke. Although I don't put it down to the hardware. ;)

I know easytrack (www.easytrack.co.uk) run days at Bedford, which Saturday was. I think LotusOnTrack also sell places for the same days.

Wow, did that go up while refuelling, or did he park it next to the tanks afterwards?

Put it this way, whilst the F40 was towed back towards the rear of the refuling tanks the car caught fire again due to the draft from being towed. I put off refuling until the car had been hosed down. Loads of comments at the track as to the choice of parking spot.

Ouch @ the F40... bet that's going to hurt... :( Not bad pics tho! What camera do you use Ben? I'm feeling the itch to buy a digi-SLR soon.... -andy-

I've got a Canon EOS 300D with the standard 18-55mm lens - got a great deal from 7dayshop.com. :D I'm just getting used to the huge gap between point and click with a compact camera and all the bells and whistles you can/have to play with on the SLR. Great piece of kit though. Well impressed so far, but a lot to learn. I'm already pining for a new lens. Sadly the pit setup on Saturday didn't let me get close enough to the track to take some better photos with the standard lens.
