Sadly I think the time has come to sell the VX. I have just purchased a house and have to buy boring stuff like kitchens and bathrooms!

The VX is a silver 2002 52 plate with navy soft top and I have owned her for around 2.5 years and used it as a daily driver.

It is mechanically perfect it has a full service history and an A4 folder full of receipts and every mot since new. It has two Keys and two fobs for the alarm. Sadly the VX was Cat D in 2011 but has never bothered me or put me off. The mileage is 67600 and will increase slightly as I use it daily. Has 7 months mot left and passed its last one no problem.

The body work has a few bubbles and a small crack in the driver’s door and a scratch under the driver’s rear light which I will try to picture. The heater blows really warm and clears the windows but only works in the fastest/loudest lol setting. (Bought the resistors to repair). I have a spare set of oil seals from matt off here for the next service which isn’t due until next year. Timing Chain was done at 45000. The suspension is adjustable Gaz Gold Pro2 and has done about 6000 miles. I do have the original Bilsteins somewhere.

Available as an extra I also have a hard top in like new condition that I bought last November in the lotus motorsport auctions.

The interior is in great condition with only a very small bit of bolster wear which I will picture.

She was supercharged in February 2015 by Batman and Vocky. (Thanks again, and if you’re thinking of supercharging do it! You won’t be disappointed!)

The supercharger conversion is stage 2 and runs on Dutch Software. It’s an Eaton m62 with the chargecooler in the ear.

List of mods;

Pro Race 1.2s in 16” 17” combo
Pro Alloy Radiator and upgraded hoses
Turbo Splitters
Turbo Spoiler
Johnny Boy Ears with mesh inserts
Gaz Gold Pros (black ones)
Tullet Manifold
Egr Delete
M62 Supercharger
Lsj Green Injectors
Charge Cooler in drivers ear
Cosworth Rs500 Air filter
Dutch Ecu and licence for Software
Turbo Window seals
V Plastidiped Black
Ears Plastidiped Black
Window surround Plastidipped Black

I am sure there may be things I have missed and I will update the advert with them.

I think I have priced it fairly at £10500ono

And for the hardtop £500 (1st refusal will be given to the purchaser of the car)

Any questions please feel free to ask. If you would like to view it I am located in Denton, Manchester. About 2 mins off junction 25 of the M60.

Thanks for looking.

shame you're so far away or I would have had the hard top off you - assuming the new owner wouldn't want it of course.

As you can see from the pics its just the passenger door really that lets the car down.

Only thing that's changed is I have put a new battery in it.

Sorry to see you are moving on. Random questio, Can i ask, how are the turbo ears fixed on with just the mesh and not the proper insert? Are you able to take photos or just tell me at all?

Yeah no worries,

The mesh is secured to inside of the ear with hot glue, then at the rear of the ear there is two "big head" fasteners bonded to the clam which secure the rear of the ears with a washer and a wing nut. Then at the front of the ear I put a jack nut in the sill which secures the front of the ear.

Hope that helps

Cheers

I get most of it, but any chance of a photo of how it bolts using the jack nut?

Just been out and took a pic. Sorry it's not a brilliant pic it's dark lol.

The jack nut is in the sill. The screw goes through the ear into the jack nut.

Not sure if I've got a pic before I put the ear on I will have a look.

Cheers
