Its not cheap and sessioned, but for us for once its a track day just an hour away, so no hotels, no big fuel bills getting there which softens the price.
Always wanted to do the GP so am going to tick it off.

Gutted wont be able to do this track day as ill be of to Spa that evening for the WEC endurance race!

Could be tempted as I've never done Brands.
In practice, how does a sessioned trackday work out ? Isn't it a bit annoying not being able to go out on track when you want ?

Worst thing about sessions is losing time due to red flags. E.g. you get a 30min session, it takes a couple of laps to warm everything up and then someone goes of in the gravel 15 mins into the session. Back to the pit lane and it's about 10mins lost.

According to the LoT page, they (LoT) get 1x20 min slot in each hour. Everybody booked via them will go out in the same session I am guessing. This session is Lotus's, VXs and Caterhams only.
You'd be pretty p*ssed off otherwise having to wait another hour for the slot to come round again!
MSV have the other 2x20 min slots in the hour.

Think its 7 sessions ( 1 per hour, but check the LOT site) so easy to work out cost, but for me just being closer to home means I've saved at least £200 on fuel and hotels and meals, so its actually a cheap one!
