I fitted mine the other day. It doesn't do anything (as described), but my car had all the holes in the dash and gear surround from having one fitted before. A previous owner had also blanked the light off and horribly taped the wiring up! I'm not 100% sold on it, but it's better than the holes.
Took me a while to find one mind!
I only bought it for one summer. 14 years ago and now its gone&#

I have one and its primary purpose is to bruise your left leg when on track and make it impossible to get under the dash should you ever need to.
