I have seen a few cars with a brace that goes from the base of the gear lever surround up to the dash.
What is this all about?

It's a stripped out light weight car, why add an option like that???

Well, it's actually a very un-fancy light. The three LEDs really are LEDs but they've had the legs chopped off. The light source is a really crap capsule lamp. Utter madness!How bizarre. It's a stripped out light weight car, why add an option like that??? I take it, it's a fancy light.

i had one, really just for the sake of it, but couldn't bring myself to actually fit it........................ended up exported into europe

In time trials they were proved to make the car 4.5 leptons quicker around the Nordschleife so well worth it imho.

Buchos makes a carbon fibre style centre brace that can house guauges if you like that kind of thing...
Pretty cool bit of kit I think.
