I've recently purchased a vx220 N/A reg WF02 WUR. Iam very pleased with the car but would be very interested to know whether anyone on here knows more about the history of the car?

 

Id also be very interested to know whether there are any good VX220 specialists close to Holmes Chapel (south Cheshire/ stoke on trent/ north Staffordshire). The car needs a service soon and I wouldn't be comfortable taking it to my local car garage.

 

Would also be interested to know whether there are any local meets close to Holmes Chapel, Cheshire.

Welcome to the fold. And to play devil's advocate I take my VX anywhere for a service, as it's just basically a Vectra engine.

 

Actually that's a lie - I do the servicing myself, it's a piece of p*ss!

Thanks guys I've noticed a crashing noise coming from the rear of the car when I go over a pothole. Ive not driven any other vx220s to compare it with but assume this isn't normal? Does anyone have any experience of Christopher Neil in northwich? There fairly local to me and thought they could look over it for me. Cheers Si

Welcome to the fold. There may be some Peak District meets coming up in the spring. There is a number of owners around Cheshire and a few further south in Stoke and Stafford. MMG gets my vote.

That could be a rear toe link causing the noise. You should change them if they haven't been done anyway. Very scary when they let go I've got first hand experience.
