Represent Britain in Time Attack? This actually made me laugh out loud. What a scrounging, arrogant pissant.

And the joke is that he's not entered for the next event. The list closed in September and he's not on it so maybe its for the year after. If so a lot can happen in that time. What happens to the money if it turns out he doesn't do it? Before scrounging money for pie in the sky shlt like this he wants to pay off his debts and pay his car tax and insurance.

He's been averaging just under £1 a day in donations, which means it'll take 16 years to get there. I'm more amused than incensed.

He's offering sponsorship so it's a fairly common practise, people crowdfund for all sorts of things these days, If you hate the idea then don't donate... Insulting someone with a dream of racing his pride and joy says more about you.

That being said, he's punching way above his weight and I doubt it will happen, not sure why he doesn't just compete in the UKTA to get some experience / exposure first.

Best of luck to him I say.

Deffinatly deffinatly this year. I offered to go across and help him so he told me all the travel plans etc, communications stopped when i told his i wanted my flights and wages covering whilst i was out there.. i cant do it for free.. Reason why he wants to do world time attack is because he wants perfect conditions and no rain. :/ "This has been my dream for the last 7 years now, to build a car and represent Britain in the World Time Attack Challenge, to show that you dont need massive budgets, huge engines or F1 level aerodynamics." He is building a 450bhp+ engine He has built a downforce dominant car He Is begging for free handouts and croud funding the shipping because he cant afford it. So....

Yeah I was reading a thread last night and he mentions not being able to turn the tyres on in the UK.... bit weird as you'd think all that aero would help!

Dont pull the "says more about you" bollocks on me. I know most of the story, Ive spoken to people who say they are owed money by this bloke, I've spoken to people who say they have been conned by this bloke. Its people like you that feeds this idiots quest. Yeah best of luck to him if he does it with his own money, best of luch to him if he doesnt leave people out of pocket in his wake. And "offering sponsorship", dont make me laugh!!

I've also been on the same track as him and witnessed his driving, he's a danger to all those around him so what about you giving your best of luck to all those people. The blokes a complete fcuking idiot

The reason he wants no rain is because he wrecked the car in the rain at Brands citing the cause as his engine lid came off!!

Until he has proven he can enter and win, I'm not convinced. I wish him all the luck but he should enter some UK ones first and do well, then look to enter the worlds. No one knows if he can drive well yet! Having a fast car is one thing, being able to drive quickly is a different kettle of fish!

In fact if its true as stated on SELOC that entries closed in Sept 2016 and he's not on the list and he states he intends to do it in 2017 when, if he's not on the list, he cant this seems, in my opinion, that it could be fraudulent.

Is it really? Well report me to the mods then. You should be ashamed encouraging someone who, if forums and reports are to be believed, has ripped off many many people. And you wish him the best of luck? You're a bigger fool than he is

To be fair... this guy sounds like a complete crook. There was stuff on Pistonheads recently where he's allegedly conned people out of money. Google turbotoaster passionford...

He's effectively got himself an 8 page crowd funding advert in PPC this month, though to be fair there wasn't any mention of being on the scrounge (at the time it was written anyway). Shame most of it's readership are skinflint's. :beat:
