Well, the top spec superb can be had for 25k. Not sure I'd spend £14k hiring one for 3 years though.

Lets face it, they are a VW Passat.

But you are right, prices on Skodas have gone up. The new Karoq is more expensive than the Seat Ateca.

ok, so I've done some sums on this. £2k deposit, 35 payments of £341 = £13,935. The list price plus metallic paint and rear view camera = £26,830. £26,830 - £13,935 = £12,895 left to pay off. We buy any car offer £12,670 on a 15 reg Superb L & K with 30k on the clock. So I may just about clear the outstanding balance. Yes I may get a bit extra selling privately, but is it really worth the hassle of all the tyre kickers?

You havent taken into account the fact you wont be paying full price for the car. Unless you are really bad at haggling

Full price is £32k, so the price I have quoted is discounted :P

I keep mulling this over. And I keep going back to my experience of a nearly new car that ended up in the garage f*ck knows how many times. Mind you, it might just be because it was a Vauxhall........
