2003 Turbo Questions From A New Owner

Gentlemen As a new owner may I ask for your knowledgable input please? 1: abs. My abs light takes about 20 seconds before it goes out. This is ignition on but no start. If I crank the engine the light comes on again but then goes out as the car starts. How does that fit with other folks experiences? 2: paint matching. My car is opalescent place sapphire and the paint code in the drivers door is 28 U. Neither Vauxhall nor paint factors recognise this code and I see that other owners on the forum have had the same problem. Did anyone ever get to the bottom of this? 3: Velcro pads. Under the radio aerial part of the back of the roof there are a number of Velcro pads. Am I missing a finishing panel that is retained under there by the Velcro or does it have some other application? Thanks in advance for any advice or info that you send! Kind Regards Paul Gibson

The Velcro pads are usually for a showercap. I suspect previous owner has not included it in sale in which case they are not needed.

..spot on for the ABS....just one the many foilboils (sic) of these plastic sh*t boxes...

 

..youll have many more as you go through the early days of ownership...remember "search" is your friend before the Search police get on your back
