I was just going to renew my VX insurance (Footman James) and just checked if they include Folembray and they don't cover that track.
Called Adrian Flux and they don't cover trackdays outside UK at all.

Whats the score with trackday cover on this track chaps? Who else can I try & renew my policy with?

Wasn't told there was a defined European track list when I signed up with Footman James! Just found it in the paperwork, annoying as is my only European trackday this year and would have stayed with Classicline if I'd known.

I somehow managed to get SP98 with E5 in it in the car in France.

It did not like that. Avoid the E5 sticker :tt:

Going by previous trips to rural French tracks, the garage listed as near the track will be closed all day for no apparent reason (Pierres just couldnt be arsed to work) so you drive to the next one 10 miles away, and Fabien has gone off to meet his mistress, so you drive another 10 miles and Dominique has gone for lunch (all day) then the next one only has diesel and so it continues, usually using all your 1/2 hours allotted for lunch just trying to find fuel.

I will leave here with a positive attitude but fully expect France to live up to all my expectations and do it what it does.

Le mans was a hoot.

HUGE complex and infrastructure. No gasstation.

Nearest had no SP98. Next one had it sold out. Next one the folicers actually emptied in the morning.

WOW.

You dont have this problem at the Ring. In Adenau just before the road that goes up to the complex theres a garage that sells 102!!!

You don't have this problem anywhere, just France. Then, you try and get lunch, but no, the first restaurants shut as Julien has gone for lunch (that's genuinely happened to me twice)

the next ones closing (as they're going home for lunch) happened 3 times, the next ones shut because they cant be bothered to open as theres so many of you, and so on until you once again have your only mcdonalds of the year ( we had to do it almost every year at Le Mans) in France, home of supposedly great food.

I shall leave England with a full belly, aware that I will be surviving on cold cheese and jam for breakfast and undercooked steak and chips for 3 days (unless they can finally surprise me with the supposedly great food they create out there).

Martin S

ps I should state that I lived there for a year and a half and have done over 20 track days in the land of the devil, so this isn't based on ignorance  Lol

Anyone on the 11.20 Eurotunnel Friday.

We will be meeting at 10.15 at the Tesco express garage TN24 on the Hythe road prior to heading to the Eurostar if you fancy joing on a convoy that will alomost certainly disintegrate 5 miles after leaving the train. (I really must get a more positive attitude today  Lol)
