Would be interesting to see what power the software tells you vs what it actually is on a dyno.

I did that on my last one, safe to say the software is pretty accurate.

Spent a few more hrs on the car this week. Managed to get most of the engine bay back together, just a few small jobs left mounting the relays and refitting the air filter etc. Also had Joe come over and lend a hand today to get the rear clam hinge system working. Really pleased with how it’s turning out tbh. Just waiting for some push fit fasteners so I can mount the rear coupe to the clam now so it hinges with it.

Then I need to mount the new rear diffuser and wheel arches etc. Car goes for the new exhaust on Tuesday so I’m hoping it will be back on the road soon.

Looking good, will you be able to lift it up with the diffuser fitted?

New rear diffuser is going on which will have two quick release pins to allow the rear to drop, this will give room for the clam to flip

Wow, that's a beast.

I've just been to Oulton today, and did 99db at 4. 5k and had no black flags all day! So fingers crossed I've eventually got there

I put 2 extra Repackable silencers in, 1 (12"x5") where the cat was and another (11"x5") after the main silencer and tail pipe. Then put a single 3" tip on the back, then a removable 90 degree tip pointed away from the noise meters.

Originally when I repacked the main silencer (which didn't need doing) one of the nuts came off the inside and I used a rivet to fill the hole, this was too small and fragile and blew out causing packing to blow out in the localised area. Which happened to be where there was only 1cm between perf pipe and silencer wall.

Another thing the exhaust guys said I could do is put a empty chamber in the main box (this is what tubular doo).

Out of pure curiosity are you having any breathing/oil issue with yours on track? It’s been a big debate with a few of us but I’m now going back to what I did on your car as what I tried on my current car didn’t work at all.

In regards to what issues? It's got a large open oil breather pipe going from top of engine and pokes just under the tray.

I'm not getting any funky smells or oil visable from the pipe. I had to put about 1 litre of oil in across the day and that's when it was a scorching day and driven hard.

Direct 1" pipe from the crankcase vertically upward, big swirl pot with brillo pads in it and then a 1" pipe down to the floor on mine - it worked an absolute treat. Some pics + write up on my thread.

Diffuser now fully mounted and the clam still flips fine which is a bonus! Some very small alterations to make before painting it but that can wait until it’s been road tested!
