Hi All

Hoping for some advice from the enlightened masses on here. I have a 2002 Lightening Special edition, N/A 2.2. Covered 58,000 miles with history etc.

Am about to put her up for sale, there aren't many VX's for sale full stop, but haven't seen any special editions up there, based on what I'm seeing I'd have thought £10,995 seems to be about right, but being 1 of only 100, does this increase the value, or is this like other special editions, a nice to have, but no more value.

Any views much appreciated !

A

Yup, as named by Vauxhall and the DVLA.... Must be how passengers feel when the drivers foot is planted? :-)

the LY cars do not command a premium, only the vxr limited edition does that.

The condition dictates the value of pretty much all vx220s

Ly does command a bit of a premium. I sold a low miler for 17k last year and have another in at the same price. I would say 12k as a private sale if it's nice. Hardly any decent vx220s left so its getting harder to value them.

Wow, 12k. How about if it's 100k miles and got osmosis, interior scuffs etc?

It's true, there really aren't that many clean cars out there! There wasn't 5 years ago when I was looking for mine.

Personally, I'd want to be paid to drive around in a bright yellow Vauxhall, but each to their own.. :P
