If you are thinking all Audi, would you not be better using the complete Audi control system for both the engine and gearbox, and converting the Quattro box to 2wd..

The V6 TFSi isn't actually much smaller / shorter than the FSI V8 due to the additional drive belts and stuff mounted at the front. Better power potential though.

Have you got the pics uploaded to flickr ?

Need to do this first, then click on the diagonal arrow/resize icon in the top left of the thumbnail in the gallery / camera roll view.

Once the pic is enlarged, right click, copy image address.

Then click on the image icon in a .org post and paste in the url you just copied (ctrl+v for windows, cmd+v for mac)

If you are going manual box retaining oem ecu and software tweaks a far easier option and what I did on the k04 tfsi conversions Some of the newer ecu's need decoding prior to removal although this may not longer be a challenge? Dsg for me just too many unknowns and limitations along with wiring hell hence going syvec option to get proper use of dsg

Near 500HP with the 3.0 V6...  (And is said to be a more modern engine than the V8)

But the most challenging will be the custom subframe  + suspension pick-ups you'll need for this to fit this lump + gearbox...

Without doubt the subframe will be challenging but a bit of computer designing and stress analysis should help matters I'll certainly make a jig to be able to repeat the process

Is there a recommended software to use reprogramming oem ecu

£21k..! For that I'd rather have a ~600bhp Audi V10 engine.. ;) If you ditch the direct injection (less important on the NA engines) you open up a few options for different engine control.

Wow, 21K for the V8 stage III SC... Djeeezzz

Think you should read up about that BMW V10 Exige to get an idea of the work involved.

And then there is/was that Ferrrari V8 conversion of an S1...
