Hi all,

I have sadly decided I need to sell my 2004 VX220 Turbo. Unfortunately some essential work on my house will cost more than anticipated, so it will have to go.

Although I have only been an occasional visitor to the forum, it would be nice if I could sell it to one of you guys.

Mileage is 44,000. It comes with private plate P1 VXT, which has to be one of the best around, plus hard and soft tops.

I was originally intending just to get the paintwork touched up, but in the end I've gone for a full professional respray (arranged through Jez at Back on Track) and the car now looks fantastic.

I am the 4th owner - the first 2 owners were regular contributors to the forum, so you can find a fair bit of background to the car on here.
The 3rd owner didn't use the forum, but he was still a VX fan, having previously owned a NA before buying this turbo.

I bought the car in April 2013.

Following a cylinder 3 failure in May 2015, Courtenay Sport fitted a brand-new crate Z20LER engine (sourced from Lotus), together with VXR turbo and injectors, and a fast road clutch. A full Milltek exhaust system and sports cat was fitted by AMD in 2014.
The engine was fitted at 34,457 miles, so less than 10k miles on the new engine.

The car is fairly standard other than this, apart from an alloy intake pipe, forge recirculation valve, Mintex 1144 pads.
CS mapped it to 245bhp/280 ft-lbs according to their dyno printout.

Since I bought the car it has been serviced annually at Back on Track, and it has a full history.
(Jez is happy to recommend the car).
It was last MOT'd on 21 March 2018 with no advisories.

I am looking for £15,450.

Pics below, assuming they load OK.

Saw this on Auto Trader,
A bit too much for me at the Mo, I'm having to hint a couple of grand less, just a question born of pure curiosity so hope u dont mind.

Standard c.s. stage 2 is 245bhp

They chucked on the vxr turbo and injectors and mapped to the same, what is the advantage over the standard fare?

As I say, hope you don't mind the question, may well be that it was already fitted etc, curiosity got the better of me.

Looks to to be in decent nick, good luck with the sale, you may not get away with never tracked die to the forum but a new engine is fair enough really.

Hi,

I was happy with the 245bhp to be honest.

Maybe they could have got a bit more out of it when they mapped the new engine, but having had one engine go bang I didn't particularly want them to push it!
