Any ideas, we've had a lot of rain recently and I've noticed that after going through a puddle the shift light will come on and stay on for a while randomly.
Does it have another meaning other than to shift at higher RPM?
Some kind of fault?

It could maybe be an alarm issue? You could try pulling the alarm fuse and see if it makes any difference.

I had problem with my shiftlight I think it was, I made a parallel leader so now I have two for my tacho signal
and no problem since.
