Is that tech proven as yet though, and can it be marketed to another manufacturer?

Already in production in China.

 I get the impression they aimed for reliability through use of well proven, seasoned technology rather than using more innovative, newer ideas. I doubt those 1.6 turbo Freevalve engines in China are revving to over 11,000 RPM, I do love the freevalve design though.

the fiat multiair system is simple and works well , albeit still has one camshaft
