I have one. I use it for many other things but oil changes. Gravity works fine for me.

I did see these but also looked at the flow rate: 0.2L/min, it would be much quicker to drain 4.5 litres of sump oil using gravity anyway.

Going by the flow rates it's going to take 25 mins to empty your oil and its dead easy undoing the sump nut and this way you know its empty. (I know the tray underneath is a bit more work but still only a quick job.)

Taking it out of the top also leaves all the sh1t in the sump. 😧

Get the oil warm and drop it out of the bottom! 😊

I have one like this. I do an oil change without filter change at mid interval on my Honda Civic I ctdi.
Due to the DPF regeneration I have diesel dilution in the oil. While this is normal I prefer to divide by 2 the interval with this easy way to change oil
Regarding the flow rate, it's not a problem, the oil is out in 5 minutes... But my oil is not thick (0-30)
I do a classic oil change at normal interval.
