Hardtop, Visium Polycarbonate, Or Fiberglass?

I am looking for buying a hardtop for my Speedster Turbo, and have been looking at the super cool polycarbonate top from Visium, here shown on an Elise: http://www.360cities...72,-16.34,110.0

Visium claims a perfect fit, but I wonder if anyone has experience with this hardtop on a VX220/Speedster, -don't want to spend EUR2000 if it only nearly fits...

Second choice is of cause a fiberglass hardtop, as they are not very easy to pick up second hand, it may need to be a new one. Seems like this one is generally recommended: http://www.lotushard...s/vx220-hardtop, then just need a visit at a paint shop.

If going for the fiberglass one, I probably need to hurry due to the Brexit (I live in Denmark), so if anyone has some feedback/thoughts to share on the Visium hardtop, that would be highly appreciated!

Elise hardtops in principle fit on the VX/Speedster, but because the roll-over bar and cover are more curved on the Elise the back edge of the roof won't line up completely to the roll-over bar cover on the Speedster. So yeah.. It fits but not completely matching the car.

Also transparent hardtops sound nice, but it means you are sitting in a greenhouse and it gets hot very quickly. That's why glass roofs on other cars like the T-tops on SW20 MR2's came with sun-shades/covers you could click into the roof to stop you from getting cooked inside the car.

On those cars you could also take the roof out and store it in the car if it got warm enough. That's not possible on the Speedster and Elise and you are stuck with the roof until you get home again and can take it off.

I guess these are two valid points for going for a fiberglass top. Misaligned curves and cooking, -well I may want to save some money instead then..

I tend to use mine September to end of November and Now until May. In the summer I drive topless most of the time and in the winter it is too cold in the mornings.

I can tell you straight having no wind buffeting and stay warm but still having a close experince to roofless driving is priceless.
