Hi All, anyone know where i can get my ABS fixed in Hampshire at very short notice.  Completely forgot its an MOT failure and its up in a couple of weeks!  Think its prob a wiring problem - speedo works and car breaks fine (does it actually do anything when it does work...)

Suggestions appreciated...

Cheers! Mils

check cables to the hubs, probably not the rear left if the speedo works.  could also check the fuse.

maybe there is a switch/connector for the abs delete at the front that as been knocked off.

that’s a tricky one as it depends where the owner put it. If there is nothing inside have a look in the front bonnet for unlikely switches or even a key switch usually around the area where the tow eye thing is kept

Check ABS not disconnected at the wheel, it's how I turn mine off, you will find if it is when you check the connectors at the wheel

When my ABS light came on it was the cable into the n/s/f hub broken off at the hub.  Have a feel round the back of the hub for the two little wires.  I managed to solder mine back on, didn't think it would last but that was two years ago and it's still there.  Now have a plan B for if/when they break again.

Thanks Madmitch, here's hoping - that would save me a morning at the garage and a few hundred quid!

The chances of a broken wire are pretty high.

You can save some money on vx ownership with a jack, a simple toolbox and posting your questions here.
