I’m running 205/45/17 on the front using a 10mm spacer and rear set of wheels.
Can I run 215/45/17?
Anyone done this without rubbing?

I have them...On ET35 wheels 8x17 and 15 mm spacers.
Initially they rubbed on the aft face of the wheel well when turning. It's the tyre corner that touches.
But I ve modified this area to create deep recess .

Quick question,
How do you find it effects the steering having rears on the front?

No difference in terms of steering weight and feel which was hard to believe at first.
Handles better with less over-steer, and looks better than the tiny biscuit wheels LOL
Does tram-line a bit more than normal though.
Over all worth it in my eyes plus you can buy decent tyres like AD08R where as the 175/55/17 well need I say anymore...

In all honesty I am suprised drivers are not looking at wheels that allow the Lotus specific LTS2 AD07. I am thiking of suitable wheels.
