Na Exhaust Options..

Got my stag 2 itb running today - and it’s very loud...
Currently running 2.5 inch Tullett with vse back box..
What other options if back box are there that will reduce noise...

Also, are the mounting points different for vse exhaust vs others? Seem to recall that, but can’t see any other mounting points unless they have corrode away...

If it’s a standard VSE exhaust Mat, the mountings are exactly the same. Ours came with a VSE fitted and we swapped it out for a Tullett system without any changes to the mounts.

The Tullett silencer was a lot quieter than the VSE, with a much deeper tone.

Standard turbo rear box is a good muffler, although its slightly down on pipe size (2.25").

 

It also weighs a bit more (11.5kg vs. 6kg for a Milltek 2.5").

VSE and Larini are the two asbo back boxes.

My SC runs a larini and it's LOUD!

I'm on the lookout for something different. At the moment I have a turbo back box on my SC. Looking at the milltek or if a tullet comes up, something like that. Had a VSE and it was ok on my NA but don't want to risk it on an SC noise wise. 

I inherited a stock turbo exhaust when I bought my VXT last week, was going to advertise it for sale as taking up room in the garage and won’t be refitted as running Stage 2.

It does indeed look like it includes the u-bend, will open the box, lay the pieces out and take a pic.

I could be interested in the exhaust @BigT.  My current flanges are have a very slight blow and I am on the lookout for a replacement.

 

I have a stage 2 SC - so apart from potentially the Turbo option above, what else is out there? I don't want noise as the car is really used more on track thank anything else - so it is about power and flow more than noise.  Will appreciate any advice given on the options going forwards and sure others will be interested too.  Thanks in advance
