One thing to look out for on the 159 /Brera these days apart from everything else is the front subframe and metal bits rad mounts air filter bracket rusting away . You can't see it because of the under tray but I've seen a few now one guy decided to scrap it .
The 2.4 wasn't great in the 159 imho , I found the1.9 just nicer to drive.

I guess it is down to luck and previous maintenance but the front mounts is a good call and worth checking
As for engine I really like the 2.4 nice smooth and quick acceleration but I only get between 35 and 40 mpg but down to preference I guess

Yeah the mpg thing was hard for a few customers, one guy an engineer went from a 156 to 159 2.4jtd God he gave me a hard time about it . Think he just expected more
They early dpf was terrible really must of cost people thousands , dpfs that were miles away from the engine . A parts guy at work had my laptop for 2 yrs so he could Regen his skoda octavia so he could get to work 😂

It's probably what the others have mentioned.
But mate with same Evoque had same problem. Turns out his local garage doing servicing had been changing oil and that was it.
Air filter was blocked which caused limp mode on acceleration.
Also brake fluid was black, coolant was unchanged amoungst other things.

Not a significant issue ultimately. Burst rubber pipe connected to the inter cooler. Car is a 2012 model and has done just shy of 40k now.

It was due an oil change, so all done at the same time. Avoids me doing it... lazy sod!

1.5hrs labour plus parts.

Quite pleased...
