Having lost of drivers seat rail in the rebuild, I was wondering if anyone could confirm if this would work with a standard VX seat mounted onto it?

No. OEM seats are a combination of side and bottom mount with specific facilities for the seatbelt attachment.
The Eliseparts rails are for pure side-mount seats and usually harness connections to the chassis.
