Door Handle Cable

Booked in for an MOT on Tuesday and the (drivers side) door handle isnt working.  The end of the cable (at the handle end, not the lock) is broken, so itsnt able to attach itself to the handle.

Any thoughts?  Searched but cant find a part number (or if it's a common part on other Vauxhalls - although someone mentioned it could be off a Rover 25?  I'd imagine they're like hens teeth in the scrap yards now)

32 is part number 9197151

33 is part number 9197918

I'd originally thought you needed the clips but on second viewing of the above image I suspect that the plastic 'end connector' which you need is part of the rod

Apparently the clip (or part 33) is available from someone in Russia (!!!) but the rod (32) isnt recognised anywhere.

Probably have to make something FFS!

normally just the plastic clip breaks on the handle, where the rod connects, they are a very common part available from most breakers

the metal rod is far less likely to break.

I might have one, will have a look

I cannot find the clips, but part 29 is the same
