After chatting to turbo Technics last week they recommended changing the PCV at the same time as fitting my turbo

I haven't read much or any about people changing this.

Is it worth it? They are fairly cheap and these engines are 10 years plus so im guessing the valve will be getting old?

Just a one way valve so you probably can get one even cheaper somewhere. Not sure how often they fail tho. My understanding is that if it fails you'd be leaking boost through into the rocker cover and pressuring the whole system when on boost.

They do fail a lot! especially if you run higher that standard boost. Easy to check if it's failed by just pulling the throttle body pipe end off and blowing through it back towards the engine.
