Hey guys, anyone in the North East know of any decent garages that actually know how to even start a vx220, let alone work on them. I've got a rear bearing that needs doing and my usual guy Dan at sps doesn't ever reply to texts so I'm assuming he's either been taken by aliens or eaten up by a black hole. Anyways need someone that's more reliable and actually picks up their phone..... Any suggestions people? Thanks

If Dan doesnt reply consider it like a lottery win. Avoid that fuuxxer like the plague. Not many garages in the north east much good With vxs

Yeah you guys are 3.5hfa away from me. Chris might be a good shout cheers, Leeds is only an hour or so away, I'll be in touch soon to sort something out. Cheers for the advise guy's, love these cars but dam they can be annoying at times. I would do it myself but just can't be arsed as a gas engineerbby trade the last thing I wanna do when I get home is manual labour ha ha

If you are still looking try BTG Performance in Newcastle. Couple of ex lotus techs in the workshop and had a vx220 turbo track car.

Wish you lived closer Chris, I'd be there in a shot.
my local garage who does my van and also build racecars will do it for £170 fitted so it isn't too bad, worst case scenario. I just prefer to deal with people that actually know the car

I have used high performance in Sunderland (wheatsheaf) and recently d and g who are a Porsche specialist based in the silver link Newcastle to change my gear cables.

Took it to BTG performance and they were amazing. The facility is unreal and they truly know what a vx220 actually is and even know how to start it ha ha. Top score, highly recommended

Lee has been a Godsend to me. Done all sorts to get my car up and running after problems with Chris Emery.
