Poor Vix has just failed the MOT due to handbrake operation.

I was convinced there was a thread on here about a company who had the ability to refurb the rear calipers - but it seems to have gone...

Folks, please help me out - can anyone recommend a company who can actually do the refurb - consistently and reliably?

Alternatively, does anyone have a proven working rear passenger caliper they would be willing to sell me or guide me as to where to get a reasonable cost new one?

I am going to try a local company - North East Brakes - as I have got a spare pair of rear calipers in the shed - but they need refurbing too.

Many thanks in advance.

Scott

Folks, thanks, but for some reason, I can only see one topic, being TeamVXracing review...both from this PC but also on my 'phone...no idea why this would be.

So....if either of you could give me some assistance, that would be much appreciated.  Thanks.

Set the display filters for that forum (and all other forums) to show All Topics and not just Topics from the last 7/30 days or whatever it's set to.

Don't set your hopes to high though, from memory it was a tale of woe.

If it's just the handbrake have you considered a spot handbrake caliper, separate from the main brake?

Is it definitely not the cable?
Mine failed and the cable was sticking on one side so only one side operating.

IIRC Partridge/Pigeon found a company who did a great job.
