Im looking to change the oil on my charger, is it possible in situ?
Whats the grade of oil?
How much is required?
I could take it off if required but it would make my life easier if it could be done in situ.

Not sure of the grade but it's the same stuff you can buy as a kit for the Mercedes SLK with the M62.

As an aside, how often should we be changing the oil in the supercharger?

Depends how often you track it.

Eaton says, all 80.000 - 100.000 km (50.000 - 62.500 m), but it's pending on stress (revs, transmission). Max. revs ~14.000.

If we say an average of 10 track days per year and around 8000 miles a year in total. What would you recommend @Foxy?

You can get most of the oil out using a suitably sized syringe with a tube on it, so you could probably use a vacuum oil changer with suitable attachment instead without taking the charger off.

Change it! My guess it's probably never been changed (most haven't). Do it every other year or so?

to fill to correct level the charger needs to be on a flat level surface and you fill the charger until the oil comes out basically..

Thanks Foxy. It was only installed 2 years ago by Vocky and Joe so I'll get it done for this year. Thanks for the advice.

Mine had no oil at all in it! No signs of damage though.
