Puffin Plastics 'splam' Grille Group Buy

As I understand, the front V can only come off without removing the clam if you cut it away. Once cut off, it cannot be refitted?

Maybe, maybe not. It might be possible to get a hacksaw blade behind it to cut through the fixings but it would take more patience than I could muster to avoid either damage to the V or to the grill. Hence nuclear option for me. Every time.

OK heard back from Puffin and we can do a Group buy (8 units) for £125 each then shipping at cost from there.  They are I believe usually £165 including shipping.  

Let me know if you are interested, if we get to 8 confirmed then I'll confirm the shipping cost.

I believe if we can get to 10 units we can cut the cost to c£110 plus shipping.

Thanks for doing the chasing C8RKH, it was a little bit of a tight timeline for me as I am doing all the work on my car tomorrow with clam off etc. So I will have to drop out the list unfortunately.

You can take the V off now with the clam off then fit the new grille with the clam on can't you?

Yep, the Splam grill was designed to be fitted with clam in place.

So as Andy says, remove the V today, fit new grill when it arrives.

Sorry posted on wrong thread, I had the clam off today, forgot to take off the V (those two efffing bolts in the base of the door took an hour to shift) so not looking to be on this group buy now.

To get to the best price we need 10, we can go at 8 for a slightly higher price.
