Video Doorbell And Linked Security Cameras

Not quite sure what you're after but I put up a swann CCTV system last year.  Works really well, has night vision, HD etc.  records 'action' to HDD and/or cloud.  It can record audio if you have the right bits.  You can get gimballed cameras.  Logs in from my phone and I can see realtime views and move cameras about.  I've been very pleased with it.

Thanks, are the cameras wired? Guess so for power?

Yup.  I've got the cameras under the soffits and the cables through the loft.  To get it onto the phone app it needed a wired connection to the router too.  I assume newer ones will have wireless.

Matt, have your cameras got Swanns infrared(?) motion detection on them? How do you find that for reliability? I'm fed up with the motion detection we've got on our cameras that just relies on detecting (in software) any movement in the frame and gets triggered by leaves moving and the rain, etc. Would much prefer something that relies on a bit more intelligence and dual detection like some of the Swann kit. What's the software like these days? Last time I used a Swann system it had a god awful interface to the management software and the detection area and recording masking type stuff; hopefully that's improved over the intervening years?

TBH I don't know.  It picks up cars and vans on the road and occasionally gets triggered by the cat.  I'm not sure on reliability as I don't have alerts on due to covering part of the road near my driveway.  The interface isn't great nor is it terrible.  It just has a list of 'events' its recorded during the day.  I've not even attempted to tweak anything as it does what I need.  Do you want me to have a play with it (Fnnnaaaarrrrr!)
 

I do have night vision and all that crap.

 If one wanted to it's easy to cut my power supply
