I bought a VX220 a few days ago, I'm really enjoying it. The Control Indicator Light has activated and it won't extinguish. I phoned the dealer and he said it is probably to do with the sports exhaust and is nothing to be concerned about. Whilst this may be ok my mild OCD is kicking in. Any thoughts Guys

It may well just be the sports exhaust and nothing to worry about but as the light being on is now an MOT failure they are just fobbing you off.
Needs the code reading really.

Welcome.
A luggage rack. Now that's is a rare item.
Based on the actual error code, we can give you a good estimate on the actual culprit.
A simple reader is the U480. 2 button operation Read and clear the code easily.

The odb connector dangles near the middle under your dashboard.
If you want it to clear right now, you can pull fuse 8 for a few sec.
When you put it back, it will arm the alarm, so keep the fob nearby.
When you pull fuse 8 it will also clear the fuel short trim tables, so at first start will sound a bit wobbly for 30 sec. Nothing to be alarmed about.
You can also have it cleared by the people where you bought it, but definitely ask for the actual code before they wipe it.
If there is something off, the code (and thus EML) will come back very soon.
If it is a one-off issue/glitch, it will stay away.

Luckely with suction cups, instead of the oem that required drilling the clam.

I have one - unfitted - somewhere in the back of my loft. Not sure if it's worth anything now.
