Pretty sure the cat has had it again on my tullet fitted to my stage 2 sc vx.
I replaced it with a 100cell motorsport cat (can't remember the brand maybe red something?) about 4 years back but has recently failed with very high CO at idle, so assume this is the cause.

Ive checked the voltage of the first lambda sensor on opcom which is in the right area so assume this is ok.

I plan to replace with an HJS cat which i obviously should have done in the first place, but I'm not sure which one to get, does anyone know? May go for 200cell this time round as well.

Usually I'd get under the car and measure it but I barely get time for a sh*t at the moment with family life!

Thanks
Dan

Thanks Chris, any idea which one i need for the tullet 2.5 inch system as I've had a good search online and can't find the dimensions?

I bought mine from 2bular.  It's 100 cell HKS but this was quite some time ago.  Far better than the crap one tullet supplied.

These are the markings on the hjs that Tullett welded in on my cat.

I have not fitted it yet, but i take it it fits.

These are basically the 200CPI cats:

https://www.hjs-moto...-catalysts.html

Get a cat that's as big as possible for you to fit diameter-wise. 120 or 130mm preferred.

The 'HD' ones are heavy-duty and usually better for forced induction car exhaust temperatures.

I've been using the type 90950161 for several years on my N/A K20 Elise (200cpi, 120mm diameter, 300mm total length):

And ECE R103 marked for those that need it. I thought it was no longer available, but seems some still sell it:

https://dbilas-shop....00cpsi-oe60.5mm

Works fine and very good MOT exhaust gas values like 0.01% CO and such after a little warmup.

HJS ones are not cheap, but they are the 'real deal' as far as build quality and lifespan goes. Do make sure to buy from a reputable reseller as like many things these days there's a lot of counterfeit ones out there too..

Bye, Arno

To help anyone else looking into this I got hjs 90 95 0082 which is a very snug fit, <5mm between it and the silencer when fitted.

The hd one wasn't available at the moment and from what it says on the website the difference is just a different winding of the structure which enables a later euro 4 level.

Thanks for the help as always

.... <5mm between it and the silencer when fitted.
The hd one wasn't available at the moment, the website said the difference is the winding of the cell structure which enable a later euro 4 spec, no mention of higher durability.
Thanks again for the help

Note.. if you put a greater than symbol in the text it doesn't load any further text in the post using tapa talk?
