Happy to p/ex  JCW mini 2003  or Hartge Mini  plus cash for right car,

 

Budget is 10K cash or  Mini plus upto £8000  ( mini's are up at £6000)

Steve, been reading your Facebook posts. Do yourself a big favour, take a drive in all - na, SC and turbo then decide what you want and buy the one that someone else had spent the money on already, because you will whether you intend to or not. You'll spend more time with it off the road and it'll just p*ss you off.
I bought mine last Feb with no intention of doing much to it and I'm 4 grand into bits now. No where near where I'd like to be either.
Forget mileage and body ( within reason) go for best mechanically to the spec you want. Cheaper to sort body later on if necessary. If it's too lovely you won't want to drive it as it should be driven either. If you buy a 9k na to do yourself you just as well buy a SC with nice bits for 12/15k. I think Paul Mck's is good money with the spec you're looking for..

thanks for the info, i am  dipping my toe in at the moment so see whats about, you are  right about  buying a good one and saving hassle, but i like projects,  James A one is very  nice but  worry about reselling with the mileage it has, lets see were we go, but the dealer  ones dont ever seem too sell. Started to get bored  working on Minis

    

if you do get an NA and want to SC it I might end up breaking mine if I cant get it sold. which is a crying shame but is what it is

Steve - yellow NA just popped up on FB marketplace , Newport.  Might be a good base for your project?   Yellow not my colour......................  :-(
