I bought my yellow VXT last year to indulge myself on some track days. However, good as they are, I find T1Rs are not up to the job. So I am looking for a set of TD 1.2 16/17 wheels on which to mount some more focused trackday tyres.
If you have some wheels with track-orientated tyres already fitted, so much the better.
Are there any suitable wheels out there in VX-land that are no longer needed? Does anybody have an unused set that is taking up valuable space in their garage / shed / spare bedroom?

I've just bought a new set for less than £550
No tires,
If interested let me no
Might even be able to get more of for a couple of sets

I see I am not the only one looking for some TDs without paying the price for new. If nobody is willing to part with a set, I might have to consider a deal like you have identified, Chill.

Not selling but I run 16/17 TDs, initially T1Rs but now on R1Rs and the difference on the tyres is amazing.
Both on road or track they stick like hell even with standard suspension the handling is bonkers and well beyond my skill levels.

£1000 is a lot to pay for some spare trackday wheels.
Can you not run with R888's as your only tyre? That's what I'm doing.

I can supply the 1.2 (new) and possibly cheaper than demon tweaks dependant on how many sets were ordered. It would have to be over 5 sets and logistically it could be a nightmare but if anyone wanted to arrange numbers I could make a call. theres a 3-4 week wait and all colour/size options would be available (at an extra cost in some cases)
