I love the look of the vx but feel it is let down by the fact that its only got a 4 pot.
I've been doing some thinking and quite a bit of searching and come up with alot of mentions regarding the idea of fitting the Z28net from an insignia vxr but nothing in depth. I've read that it supposedly fits to the original f23 gearbox and can use the vx running gear.
Does this mean that you dont have to source new/ custom drive shafts? and with it being a gm engine would it make it easier to fit as apposed to an Audi for example?
Obviously i am aware that it will require the z28 ecu wiring in and mounts made up for it to fit correctly.
This project will by no means be starting now, but it is something that i will be seriously considering as apposed to going down the harrop route and thought i might aswell start gathering imformation on what i will need and maybe then start looking into getting the parts ordered.
Any info anyone can give would be great, also dont mind being a guinepig (<< spelling?) to find an alternative engine conversion.
Cheers
