Just for you Kieran, to save you having to read Bill's post "For all you track day aficionados/addicts out there, the cover includes UNLIMITED UK Track Days AND UNLIMITED European Track Days!!!! ............................. They do have to be ATDO track days (which standard and is a given for pretty much anything organised by LoT, Javelin, MSV and the other usuals that we all book through)" Same as CCI rules for Euro TDs except for the number limit edit; Ah, see Matt had the same sentiments as me😄😄😄😄😛😛

Keeps paying Courtaney sport every month to rebuild his gearbox. He must forget it's done as no one in their right mind would keep chucking money at something so unreliable. ;)

Never heard of these people until this post, we need to have a list of options posted up somewhere permanently and maybe add some details to each one for an easy to find guide for people as insurance is such a biggy with most people.

I could talk to Matt on behalf of the club and put together a club membership scheme.

Possible downside being that after a large number have "jumped on" the risk profile increases so the insurer then either pumps up the premiums or decides not to insure VXs any more, sometimes including those coming up for renewal. Isn't this what happened to the cheap VX insurance with LV a number of years back Steve's suggestion to try to get a club members scheme is probably the way to go. This way the insurers have already assessed the risk of providing a large number of policies to one particular marque of car or group of owners.

Somewhere, I have all the claims history of VX vs Lotus when we put together the club scheme with CCI (when they were good). Simply, the VX club made them money, the Lotus one didn't.

Quite. Please don't fcuk it up for those of us already sorted, like people did with REIS (who were the best people I've ever had to deal with).

What is a "club" membership scheme?   We already get discounts for membership on here/SELOC and likewise for doing a proper Walshy day (or other advanced training).

CCI (when they were good).

What's wrong with them now then?

Or the National booking where the discount worked until it was queried for retrospective use.

Quite. Sometimes things are much better left alone to fly under the radar and not poked and prodded.

In my opinion it wouldn't hurt if Sitzenboots spoke to Matt at Henderson Taylor about options.

Henderson Taylor is a small broker who gets business by word of mouth so isn't going to want to ruin what could be a lucrative piece of ongoing business for them. If Sitzenboots and Matt figure any sort of club deal may jeopardise future coverage due to higher subscriptions then we simply don't do it.

Don't doubt what Techieboy and the others are saying above, but it sounds more like the underwriters did their maths wrong and it would have come to an end at some point anyway. Assuming the underwriters have their selection/pricing criteria right, it should be "the more the merrier" not binned due to too many people choosing to take their insurance. Also, Matt already pointed out that they don't do "10k plus main car insurance" so even if we have a club rate not everyone will be able to take advantage anyway.

I don't know Sitzenboots but as a moderator on here and a long standing member of the community I'm happy to trust him to make a sensible decision with Matt and I (obviously) already have insurance with Henderson Taylor.

Will point out the obvious though and say, I already posted this in a public forum so anyone who is going to use Henderson Taylor to get the unlimited track days is going to do it regardless of any club deals or conversations. Yes we may get a certain % more if they offer us a club discount that tips the balance on price for a few people but as I implied above, as long as the underwriters have their criteria and pricing right, shouldn't be an issue...
