Hi Everyone, thought it was about time I created a thread to show the car a little more and track the progress and changes to it.

So far the changes are......

Rear discs and pads

Painted rear calipers

Wrapped Centre in black velvet wrap

EGR Delete - just need the cheater now

To do......

Fit LED sidelights and number plate lights

Fit VSE

Buy and fit new rear toe links as the current ones rattle once the car is warm

Wrap the dash trim

Going to do a chain over the winter

and eventually supercharge

Hi and welcome to the forum. Your car looks nice. IMO though I would make your Toe Links the next priority. I would have changed them first.

Thanks guys,

Yeah the toe links are priority will hopefully have the funding in place in the next 2 weeks to buy one of the rose joint kits.

To be honest I wanted a yellow one over all the colours but never expected to get on :D

Elise parts now (rather annoyingly after forking out for the standard ones at full price) do their own ones at a cheaper price point. While I admit cheaper is perhaps not what you want to hear, they are oe replacment ones and cost about £25 each I think. My friend changed to them prior to a day at Anglesey and he didn't crash and set on fire. I think of them as a 2 yearly consumable. I worry slightly that a bigger kit may cause insurance issues if it came to light they were the cause of an accident. I have no doubt in their increased strength but dislike insurance companies' attitudes to slight modifications.

My local Vaux garage quoted £126 per arm with links an say they no longer supply the links only. I saw the ones on Elise parts but the engineer side of me is telling me to wait and get the rose joint kit.

I'm planning on trying to get the clam shell off in the next week to look at changing the exhaust and removing the pre cat  :) so I'll begin removing the links then.

If you've not had the rear off before get a can of penetration fluid and give all the bolts you can get to a good soak in it.

So a small update the postman has delivered my rear toe link kit from Elise Shop so they will be getting fitted in the next few days so I can get it back out the garage and being used.

The last few days I've got round to removing the pre cat and fitting the VSE. Just need it back on the road now to go find a tunnel

Some weight in the old back box is it worth selling?
