I think the main benefit is the reduced inertia.

A claimed 10bhp here but original GM document link no longer available:

they never said at which point in the rpm scale that the 10 hp was measured

If there is someone around with them removed and you could just sit in it with the enigne running, you could easily decide if it is for you or not.
I have never noticed a huge difference in vibrations after the balancer delete, however adding upgraded cams certainly makes the biggest difference in vibrations and that can be felt on an otherwise standard engine (with balancer shafts)

I have to admit i have uprated cams, and had to put the idle at 900, so that is also not helping.

On Nipper my idle is 1100 and even then the engine doesn't turn over steadily. When I'm idling at traffic lights etc I get strange stares from people whilst I get a "nice" tingling sensation in my legs and back.

Decided against the shaft delete I'm only aiming for around 250bhp. If I go for more power in the future they will be out.

Bigger update than usual.
Had a small amount of spare time the other day so decided to paint the Supercharger with black wrinkle paint. Not sure how this will go down but I love it and that's what matters.
Got a good shift on it today running the CC lines. Waiting on some P clips arriving before I run them along the firewall.
The new exhaust manifold arrived along with new studs and gaskets. The crack on the old manifold runs from around the heat shield mount over and between 2/3 outlet. The collector gasket was also completely gone.
Blue injectors are now fitted in the rail with the lines rerouted. I had these serviced at Hypertech in Bonnybridge after getting them off ebay
I've had a look at the lines running front to back and all seem in fairly good condition.
AND the biggie the ECU is now away to be set up with the Dutch Software

With the loom back from modifying by Vocky I got half a spanner turn in and ended in me having to fit a new starter motor.
While under there I also took the time to fit the new handbrake cable.
I also plumbed in the rest of the CC system and mounted the pump.
Supercharger was then mounted.
The ECU also arrived back today with the Dutch software installed. It was mounted to its new home on the fire wall.
So I started it and it ran with quite a bad misfire. I think I have cross threaded the feed to the rail and I'm losing pressure.
The OBD seems to not want to talk to the laptop, had a look and there seems to be a bit of grot in there.
So not much left to go just tidy up and find the misfire.

IT'S ALIVE.
Fuel line fitted and a new battery cured the misfire. Now time to tidy up before starting the reassembly.
