i just cut the wire going to the front left wheel, then stuck some bullet connectors on it.... covered the wire with some cable tidy. 10 mins.

So got round to doing it today:
Be careful unplugging this, you have to pull the side thingy out, also you need to push the side thingy in for it to go back in:

Then undo the wire wrapping, cut the yellow wire and take some insulation material off the wires.

Fit bullet connectors:

Take it for a test drive and realise that it is the speedo wire you have cut. So cut the other yellow wire that is wrapped around the pink wire and add bullet connectors:

looks just like mine... im no electician but i put some tape around the metal bit of the bullet. i didnt know if it touched any other metal something odd might happen.

Maybe, I doubt it has a strong enough current though. The bullet connector was already completely covered by red plastic, however some sticky tape can't do no harm

Yeah, it was just what I was expecting though as I've run it without the abs fuse a few times.

Much better without the ABS
I would have been in the passenger seat of the car in front the other day on the westway after a serious braking move !!!!
Leave it off and just press the pedal !

Agreed, the abs on these cars is hit and miss, sometimes it cuts in just enough when you need it and at other times it cuts in way too early just because you have gone over a slippery patch then you lose all most your braking.

Just gave it a good testing in the wet and have to say it's loads better. Still have to release the brake too far for my liking to correct a locked wheel though. Nearly have to come all the way off the brakes when it locks. Need pads that release better.

Yeah I won't be turning it back on either, makes more of a difference in the wet.
