first job is to remove the seats using the 6mm key
before starting its a good idea to mark the holes with
a pencill ,dont want to use the wrong holes when putting seat
back just like the vauxhall monkeys did with my na :9mm:

take care when lifting out the seats the runners are very sharp
best get someone to cover the sharp bits and guide the seat out thumbsup
dont remove the belt from the seat yet just put the seat down next to the car.
when you do the drivers seat put the seat forward and do the rear first

oh and on the drivers seat rail at the back are two whashers one is T shaped
and one L dont lose em thumbsup
next job is to remove the seat belt mountings, first you need to
unclip the plastic cover, cant realy explain how.
next undue the bolt with a 17mm socket.mine didnt seam to be very tight
so bear this in mind when you retighten it.put youre harness bar in place
and refix seatbelt mount ,bar goes behind the whasher

you may find it best to fit the belts on the bar before fitting it
it saves a bit of time thumbsup

now the next job is a bit fidly
fitting the lap belts to the seats.
do the inside first, undue the bolt
and remove the big spacer and spring.now this
maybe different on other seats. on the lotus board
they have a different mounting
but i found the best order was spacer spring then lap belt then
seat belt,if you put the lap belt first it jams on the side of the vxr seat.
idealy you could do with two smaller springs.

now do the same on the belt side,be carefull
you dont twist the seat belt or it can get confusing(spell check)
make sure you have seat belt buckle running parrallel
with the back of the seat and the lap belt buckle in the middle of the seat before you tighten
the bolt

now you can replace the seats, again be very careful with the sharp
edges thumbsdown
this where the chewing gun comes in usefull
when getting the bolts back in unless you have magnetic bits thumbsup
allmost done
all the bolts were torqued to 35 n as it says on the TIS disc
except the bar bolts which i think might be too tight at that as iam not sure
what youre tightening against.you may allso wish to use thread lock as well
on all the bolts.i didnt cause i didnt have any :beat:
now the fun bit is adjusting all the belts iam not realy sure the best way to have them
as i havent used the before but iam sure someone will tell us

3 Questions:-

1) Do you have to put the inertia belts back. Would you be invalidating anything?

2) In your setup would you have to wear the harness all the time?

3) how will you stop the pax side flapping around? Do it up?
Back in the car I love.

1)dont think you have to keep the seat belts
but it would be a pain having to use the harnesses all the time
caus for them to work you have to wear them very very tight

2) only if you remove the seat belts.see above :D

3)correct :beat:
