I'm no expert here, but here's a idiots guide to try and attempt to adjust your windows


First step - remove door panel

The below picture shows the areas where you'll need to adjust


No.1 Will adjust the window tilt inwards or outwards at the top by the roof seals,
only adjust these if you have to, from experience only adjust slightly, as A, you can
lose the screw and B, adjust too far in and the window won't go up.
Best thing is to adjust in small movements and wind the window up and down to make
sure it works ok.


No.2 These two bolts will raise or lower the front or back of the window


No.3 This disc will rotate and will adjust the height of your window
(see below instructions for adjusting this)




Part 2

Adjusting your window height -

Remove No.1 screw, then loosen the bolt No.2 from behind, do not remove bolt and
leave in place so the disc can rotate (make a note of its original position)


The disc will pivot around the bolt and will increase or decrease the distance from
the bar highlighted in the second picture.
I needed to raise my window so i had to swing the disc clockwise (to increase the
distance from the bolt to the bar when the window is fully up) , re-tighten the bolt,
then check your window fits better to the seal, once the right position is correct screw
back No.1 screw back into place.




From experience double check windows shut ok with the door open and when closed from
within the car BEFORE re-fitting the door panels back on - as i found out

Great one Stormtrooper, will try this one out prior to get myself a showercap. Windows not tight in the front end as it is now. Seems easy enough and well worth trying.

the thread in my adjuster has gone, screw 1 in your pic, i have a temp solution to hold it from falling in or out but can u order the screw and thing it screws into seperately?

Are you talking about one of the bottom screws that adjust the tilt of the window ?
I'm not sure if you can order one as a spare, from what i could see it fixes to the
bottom of the window frame, looks tricky

the threaded bolt thing is ok but the bit it threads into has been de-threaded, it goes into the bottom of the frame but comes out as a single piece if that mekes sense? i might just go take a photo to show u ?

Great guide

Just fully sorted my drivers door

Move the cam around a few mm's and played with the two adjusting bolts to get the top seal spot on (they don't seem to adjust in any logical order, so just keep playing with them until sorted

It's even cured my rattle

Ive been here about an hour trying to refit the door panels now,everything fine but I STILL CANT put the 2 push in screws in the handle part!!!
Everything will be fine once I get these in...is there a certian way????

Like I posted in your other request: Make sure you pull the screw part completely out of the plug part. Then push in plug part, followed by screw part.

Yes... Use a bit of double sided tape!

Mines been fine for the last couple of years and just as 'solid' as the screws, and a hell of a lot easier to remove if it needs to come apart again!

Excellent idea,I didnt think of using double sided tape. I take it you struggled too then eh?
It is a poxy setup I think. I'll use some tape on my new ones.
