In a recent thread it was mentioned by mandarinvx that we should start a VX220 write off thread so that future purchasers etc can see if any vx220.org member can supply any information that could help them with their potential purchase.

As it doesn't seem to have appeared, I thought I'd start it here. My initial effort would have been something like this (this is just an example however, if it is actually someones car then please :flame: me);

X123 XXX - Silver NA, Date of Incident 05/04/03. Registered as a CAT D. p4cks









Would there be any need for more info on the post?

Cheery thread. :D I'd have thought maybe the full reg would be essential, along with colour and model. :unsure: Obviously leaves the cars open for cloning but assuming they are write offs, who cares??? :unsure:

reg numbers can be changed.....the VIN no is a better way to identify

Yes Yes Yes Yes ............... I cannot go on with the shame .......... I ... Gulp .... bought a damaged VX220. I always wanted one and it was an easy way for to me to afford it. Please dont judge me badly or laugh at my car refering to it as a VX110 My car is a cat D with a repair quote of £10,309.62 Pair of lights £1304.00 --- bought from Ebay £280 SAVING £1024 Two damaged wheels + tyre £543.00 --- bought a complete immaculate set from ebay with tyres £350 SAVING £193 + couple of extra wheels Front drivers suspension wishbones bearings bolts £800 -- bought from mustang £250 SAVING £550 and so it goes on Pistolar

I think the idea of the thread is for VX's that are beyond economical/safe repair - ie chassis damage Thanks for adding this p4cks thumbsup I'll put a linky in the useful thread selection (where most newbies will start :)

GX02 MDT Riabatta Red NA - Writtern off June 2007, damage to rear clam and rear near side suspension mount on chassis damaged. :( Really going to miss that car.
