After talking to Walkes about this earlier today I reckon I'll get it booked up, I just want to check that I fit in my car with my helmet on first! As I have to have the seat right back I think I might not fit as the plastic bit above the head rest may get in the way with a helmet on, but we'll see! Also, I take it a Stage 2 VXT with Milltek will be under 100dB? chinky chinky

Yup, you'll be absolutely fine with the Milltek, it comes in around 95db. Very tempted to go - motorsport events are very good with Ed and Natasha, very safe and well run. Colerne is a good circuit, I went there in April for the first time and loved it.

Yup, you'll be absolutely fine with the Milltek, it comes in around 95db.

Just be aware Millteks can get louder with age. Towards the end of last year my VXR with the Milltek hit 98db. First time at Goodwood where I was warned and had to short shift for the remainder of the day, and shortly after I hit it again with MSE at Colerne.

Having now checked whether I fit with my helmet on, I found that I do, just, fit - took it for a little drive round the block with the helmet on to check it was OK and looked like a right tit!

Anyway, I'll fit fine as long as it doesn't rain and I need the roof on, and you'd hope that in August it'd be a dry day.

So I'll be phoning up to book this in the morning. You'll need to all be gentle with me as it'll be my first track day, other than a Walshy airfield day, so I'll be busy trying to remember everything I learnt there!

I'll probably stay somewhere nearby the night before, I'm taking it that there'll be a Marriott / Hilton nearby that I can cash some loyalty points in with? Maybe we could arrange a little get together that evening too to save me from sitting in the hotel on my tod all evening! Anyway, we can sort that nearer the time!

Lookign forward to it! rallly

Nice one MIKE_VX, Take it easy and just enjoy thumbsup No pressure it is up to you to learn at your own pace, grab a few passenger laps with some of the others there and you may pick up a few things.

I can highly recommend booking some instruction for the day if it's your first TD (as I did for my first TD last year). From what I remember it's about £25 forhalf an hour of tuition.
