spec wise : slightly different offsets = different track and clearances to brake calipers and wheel articulation options a. ask thorney to price match b. do what many others have and buy from that company c. look for second hand sets that would have part worn tyres = bigger saving

I bought my TD's from billyboytyres, not off ebay tho. That 'Special price' is the same price I paid buying direct from them. I got the correct offsets on mine but needed spigot rings to make then fit.

the basic difference is the centre bore of the thorney ones are exact for the vx which is a better option for track wheels.

Just had this reply from billyboytyres hi. yes they do come supplied with centre caps. no wheel spacer or spigot rings are required if you want the wheels making as a direct bore fitment (65.1mm). ???

I have been told by somebody at Team Dynamics that these were developed jointly with Team Dynamics and TMS and were only available through TMS so I don't know where these came from.

Only if you are doing racing where you need to change wheels quickly.

I phoned company 2 days ago about these alloys. Apparantly they cast them themselves (means about a 2.5 week wait). I don't know if that is under licence from TDs or if they use same materials. I just ending buying mine from thorney in the end for £499 which is not much more than Billy are quoting and you know you getting the 'real deal'! I also did not want to wait 2 weeks, but that's just my impatience!!!

Which company did you phone? Rimstock make the Team Dynamics wheels and yes they usually only make them to order, it could take anywhere from 2 weeks onwards depending how busy they are. I very much doubt Rimstock would make and sell a set of the TMS spec wheels (no spiggots) to anyone other than TMS, they said i couldnt buy them and we were part of A1 buying group, they might have changed in the last few months but i doubt it. However it doesnt make a difference, i ran a set with spiggots for about a year including day at Oulton Park and a long weekend trip to the Nurburgring with no problems....
