Been a tough day today, randomly had to have cat put down and explaining to Jacob And Grace that she's gone to heaven has been emotional and tough especially at bed time tonight :-(

Know how you feel, we had to put our old cat down yesterday (liver cancer).

Sad news chaps. I broke the news to the kids that our Shelby might not come back from her trip to the vets. Luckily it was a bad reaction to a thyroid problem.
I feel for you both.

Well you see Dr, I bought my VX in May & I've cleaned it 3 times a week until this week & that's even been 7am before I go to work & it's been like cold turkey seeing it there & not doing anything to it not even taking it for a little drive. I'm going on holiday soon & I'm not sure how I'll be able to cope Dr. And to top it all what will I do when I don't tax it over the winter? It's no fun driving any more unless it's in a VX. Happy no...

What size should a replacement servo hose be? Christopher Neil's supply 10mm ID for Lotus. Anyone know if it's the same for VX's?

Seriously? If his missus is getting on at him and he's been eating Anusol, I really don't think he is stable enough to be a mod...

Is anyone near Bournemouth/New Milton that could pick up and hold an ebay purchase for a few weeks for me?

What grease do I need for the inner CV joint on my NA? The kit from Vauxhall is a bit sparing on that stuff....

-
J4EY D
I hear you're a pro at greasing things up

If only that was true! I just know if you use too much you can create more problems. Too much grease needs to go somewhere, it's the same principle as your engine oil, you put too much in then it will find a way out then you need to start another job like replacing seals if you're lucky? CV joints not as dramatic but it's a job you don't want to do over & over again. As for grease, if you go on a website like Castrol, I'm sure it'll give you some sort of a char...

Looking to replace my servo hose. Is this the right thing? http://www.cbsonline.co.uk/product/Vacuum_Hose_13mm_Id_VACHO13

Hose is so expensive isn't it!

Why don't you just replace the section that requires replacing, guessing about 12-20inch with a connector, the rest through the body will be fine? Worked on mine & only took 5-10 mins.

Yeah that's what I found. I bought the whole pipe but on actually looking at it only a small 6 inch section going into a plastic bend has perished.

Wouldn't be the first, mine jammed at LeMans a couple of years ago. Luckily I managed to push it back.
